The ultimate travel menu of locations
As part of this month’s travel blog linkup, I’m sharing my ultimate travel menu of locations. From an entrée (short haul) to a main (long haul) and a memorable desert. This menu will take you across three different continents with a variety of languages and cultures.
Entrée course travel location
Puerto Madryn to El Calafate, Argentina.

Southern Right Whale (head), Puerto Piramides
A short haul flight if you’re already in Argentina and want to avoid a 2 day bus journey.
You’ve had a little taste of Patagonia on the East Coast of Argentina, seeing whales, penguins and seals…

Flying into El Calafate you’re greeted with baby blue waters in the landscapes as you land.
Once you’ve arrived, treat yourself to the best home cooked meals at the hotel called Hospedaje Lautaro. Then nip out to Perito Moreno Glacier to watch ice crash as the glacier grows. Spend the afternoon wandering around all the pathways and marvel at the sheer size of this glacier.

If you need a bit of a warm up to the main course, then pop out to El Chalten for some hiking and more glaciers!

Now when it comes to a long haul main course you’ve got to make it worth your while. Don’t just stop at one country try a few.
It could be Kenya–Uganda–Rwanda like my first visit.

Lake Nakuru National Park, Kenya
Visiting orphanages, national parks, going on chimpanzee hikes and meeting gorillas in the wild.

If that’s not enough then you can jump off a bridge in Uganda (bungee) and white water raft in the treacherous waters of Jinja.

Don’t worry this main course will certainly leave a lasting impression.
Memorable desert travel location
Amalfi coast, Italy

The coast of Amalfi
The desert course has to be picturesque which means your journey will probably take you to Italy.
While you will have many delectable choices to choose from, may I suggest the Amalfi Coast?
I’d highly recommend starting around Positano, wander the flower filled white washed buildings that adorn the cliff leading down to the ocean edge.

Positano, possibly the most-dreamy spot in all of Italy

From there take a bus to the Amalfi township and finish up at the romantic destination of Ravello. Plenty of floral opportunities with incredible views, you may even happen upon the odd wedding or engagement while you’re there!
