Merry Christmas to all!

My favourite spot: Mt. Maunganui

Here I am, spending Christmas all alone this year in a new town in a new country on a new continent that I’ve never visited before December.

I’m travelling solo until June next year and it gives me a lot of time to think. Right now I’ve been thinking of how much I miss everyone and how much I wish you all have a fantastic Christmas and New Year.

I will be thinking of you all, those near and far, those with us and those sadly not.

To my UK friends, all my buddies from WordPress London, the twitter meetups, the London Afternoon Tea Bloggers, the lovely people on the top floor at Phoenix Yard, my old flatmates and rugby mates, the New Zealand Business Womens Network and New Zealand Society, I hope you’re all not too chilly and enjoying the festive winter season.

To my European friends, you know who you are (far too many to count), I hope you’re all making the most of food, family and friends.

To my American friends and colleagues, I hope you’re enjoying a very fun filled season with lots of loving family all around the table.

Baby BaboonsTo my family and friends closer to NZ and AU, I hope despite the ups and downs of the year you all manage to put a smile on your face, nab a piece of Christmas ham and/or Turkey and down a beer in the sunshine for me. I sincerely wish I could be home this year to see you all, it’s been far too long. I’m sending a big hug to you all (the baby baboons in Namibia gave me plenty of hugs to keep me going).

For now, I’ll leave it there. I’ve now reached the point in my travels where I have nothing organised and for me, that’s a bit scary, but also great that I can stay anywhere as long as I want (or can afford as I’ve massively gone over budget already).

So cheers everyone!

Stay safe and well, I miss you all.

Best wishes for the festive season and new year!
