Scenic flight over the Okavango Delta

Okavango Delta Landscape
Elephants, water buffalo, hippos, giraffes galore – some people even saw lions! This was the subject matter for our scenic flight over the Okavango Delta – a river and lagoons that runs from Angola down to Botswana.

Water Buffalo in the Okavango Delta
Our pilot was probably just out of school, which concerned a few people, but they soon forgot about that as they saw the incredible array of animals from above. That and the fact that soon enough everyone started to feel sick and hot. We were split into two planes and the other plane managed to get several sick bags used, I was grateful it wasn’t the same on our plane, otherwise it may have started a chain reaction of everyone puking.

Water Buffalo
It was a lovely flight of 45 minutes with incredible landscapes, but it was very difficult to photograph from the plane!

Sometimes it’s better just to sit back and enjoy the ride, but I’m glad you got some photos to share at least. Looks like a great experience
It was pretty awesome, as much as I love photography I am more and more just enjoying the experience without going overboard on photos
