Photo of the Day, March 28: First, Switzerland

First, Switzerland
Today’s photo of the day comes high up in the Swiss Alps from a place near First. Just up the mountain from Grindelwald (via cable car going up or the ‘First Flyer’ going down) this location is truly incredible. These snow-capped mountains tower down, yet because you’re so high up you feel like you’re engulfed by the landscape around you. Switzerland holds a special place in my heart, its a bit of a reminder of home and a bit of amazement all in one beautiful country.

Lovely photo. Grindlewald and Lauterbrunnen are two of my favorite places in Europe. I’m not brave enough to ride the ‘Flyer’, though. Did you?
They are amazing spots aren’t they? The First Flyer was probably the least scary thing I’ve done when it comes to adventure sports etc. It was pretty neat flying through the fog and above the cow bells ringing on the way down! Wish I’d had more time there though.
