Photo of the Day, March 21: Athens, Greece
One of those ‘pinch me’ moments of ‘I can’t believe I am standing in the Acropolis in Athens’

Athens, Greece
The history that Athens holds is just incredible. When I was a teenager learning about classical studies, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I’d see these places in real life standing in front of me. The Acropolis was one of those places, with the Parthenon and Erechtheion in all their glory. Today’s Photo of the Day is of the Erechtheion, an incredible structure dedicated to Athena and Poseidon, said to have been build around 421 and 406 BC.
