Sipping one of the best fruit smoothies ever while sitting my a canal in the sunshine. The slow-paced city of Ljubljana in Slovenia provided a lovely cafe-lifestyle.

This photo of the day ends my European travels of 2008. Ljubljana was the last stop for my scholarship and it was a very relaxed lovely city to end a trip of a lifetime in. Nearby Lake Bled offered some lovely scenic opportunities with walking through the Vintgar Gorge, cycling around the lake and paragliding off a mountain in Vogel.

What a beautiful photo, Ngaire. I’ll be visiting Ljubljana in July and I’m so looking forward to it. I hope the city turns on the lovely weather that you experienced. And I’ll be looking for a fruit smoothie to enjoy, too!
Thanks Carolyn, I can’t remember the fruit smoothie place name, but if you cross the river (past that peach building) then turn right and go up one of the sides streets it should hopefully be there on your left. If its the same as 7 years ago it will be a blue shop. Awesome smoothies. Enjoy!
